Buford Tannen was a notorious gunman, whose short temper and a tendency to drool, earned him the nickname ‘Mad Dog.’ He was quick on the trigger and bragged that he’d killed 12 men, not including Indians or Chinamen. However, this can not be substantiated since precise records were not kept after Tannen shot a newspaper editor who printed an unfavorable story about him in 1884.

We had another great turnout for our annual pumpkin carving contest, you can check out the submissions and finalists below. If you’re in the top 3 we will contact you directly to dish out the prizes! Trying to choose three winners is always a difficult process, but the decisions have been made!
